Art History
I am an entirely self-taught artist, and I learn by observation. I also believe that I got my artistic skills from my genes, since most everyone on my mom's side of the family is talented in some form of art. I've dabbled in art all of my life, but I started drawing heavily and seriously about three years back when I began writing Gryphon Song. Since then I have developed my own style of art. (It isn't anime, so don't call it that please.)
Tools
My preferred art program is Paint Shop Pro 9. My sketches are done in a combination of 0.5 mechanical pencil and graphite pencil. I use Staedler sketch pens to trace over some of my artwork. Occassionaly I'll bring out my watercolors, pastels, Tria markers, and colored pencils for fun and to keep up with old times.
Pray for me....this is the week that determines my futureposted Jul 16th 2006, 8:51PM
Mood: Restless
Well, I applied for a full-time position at Reiman a few weeks ago. It would be as a food stylist assistant, the same job I'm doing as an intern.
I hadn't heard anything for awhile, but last Thursday the HR lady comes into our studio and asks me for an interview...that very same day. O.O
So I do the interview (pretty much unprepared), and I have no clue how it turned out. They were also interviewing other people (at least two that I know of), but I don't know how many they're going to hire.
So I'm just asking that you all pray to whatever God (or whatnot) you worship in that I get this job. If I do, a lot of bumps would smooth out for me. If not, the road will just get a bit bumpier for awhile. It's not anything I can't handle, but the fact of the matter is that I would really LOVE this job and it's something I could be very good at. It's a great company with great people and I would be proud to be a part of it.
